Costa Vicentina, Figueira          

This lovely villa, built in the Costa Vicentina nature reserve is ideally situated for the person looking for a relaxing holiday in the most peaceful of locations. 
The house is reached by a well surfaced track from the village of Figueira, a kilometre distance away. There are several other cottages dotted about the surrounding countryside, but none close enough to intrude upon the villa's privacy.

Going the other way towards the sea is a track which leads down to a secluded beach. The walk to the beach takes seven minutes and involves a short climb over some fairly flat rocks at the end; some sure footedness is required and sensible shoes - but the trek is well worth the effort.

The villa is an ideal base for exploring the area. The tourist villages of Salema, Burgau and Praia da Luz are less than ten minutes drive away and the historic city of Lagos is twenty minutes distance. Here there are bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets to suit every taste. Alternatively, further west is Cape St. Vincent, originally thought by the Portuguese to be "the end of the world" and the spectacular scenery of the west coast.
For the sports minded the Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure Centre is a mere 2 kms.away and all the activities are available at the local cost.

The villa, which is available to a maximum of 4 adults and a child, has been built and tastefully furnished by the owners, who live here themselves for most of the year. It is set within well maintained mature gardens and also has a large rectangular swimming pool surrounded by terracing.
There are spectacular views over the surrounding countryside and out towards the sea from the large roof terrace.

The house has an entrance hallway to the right of which is the living / dining room, furnished with comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs, a stereo system and television. Two sets of patio doors lead out on to the terrace with it's integral goldfish pond. There is  a table and chairs for outside dining or for just sitting and enjoying the superb view.

The kitchen is fully fitted with modern units and has a gas hob and oven, a fridge freezer and a washing machine.

The villa has three bedrooms, two of which have patio doors leading out onto the sun terrace. One bedroom has a double bed and the other two have two single beds in each. There is an en-suite shower room attached to one of the bedrooms, plus a new modern full bathroom with integral shower.
There is shaded parking outside the house.

Maid service twice a week and a linen change at the end of the first week is included in the rental price.

N.B. Potential clients should note that the villa does not have mains electricity and relies on solar energy to produce it's power. This does not cause a problem if high voltage electrical appliances such as irons, hairdryers etc. are used with discretion.
